Nora Perone is originally from Morgantown, West Virginia (USA), where she spent her early years performing, volunteering, and teaching with local theatre groups. She was awarded a full scholarship to West Virginia University's conservatory acting program, from which she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and received the School of Theatre and Dance's Outstanding Senior Award. She then moved across the pond to complete a Master of Arts in Music Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. In 2019, she received an endorsement from Arts Council England for a Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) visa to live and work in the United Kingdom. She is based in London, where she is as a freelance performer, producer, coach, and marketer.
While at Central, Nora discovered her love for comedy writing, co-founding Streetlights, People! Productions with Jen Coles. Their inaugural film project, "The Fitness Problem," has been called "hilarious," "incredibly original," and "right on the mark," and they have since released a follow-up film, entitled "Diary of an (Almost) Sex Tape." The company is best known for their critically-acclaimed, award-winning revival of Adam Gwon's musical Ordinary Days, for which Nora was Executive Producer and played the role of Deb from 2016 to 2017 in various venues in London and Edinburgh. In 2019, Streetlights, People! Productions was named a resident company of the Drayton Arms Theatre in South Kensington, London. Passionate about teaching as well as performing, Nora is a private coach and workshop facilitator in acting, singing, and audition technique. She has taught internationally, with the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Kingston University Collegiate Music, West Virginia University School of Theatre and Dance, Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts, Perform! School of Performing Arts, and NCS - The Challenge, and her students have received offers from top drama schools including the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
